LOCATIONS

Nestled in the heart of London at 145 S Lambeth Rd, Grelha D'Ouro stands as a beacon for lovers of traditional Portuguese cuisine. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant seamlessly blends the rich culinary heritage of Portugal with a touch of local charm. As I stepped inside, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff and a decor that speaks to the culture, creating an ambiance perfect for family gatherings or casual outings with friends.

The menu at Grelha D'Ouro offers a delightful array of dishes that entice the senses. From the hearty bacalao with smashed potatoes, which boasts a lovely texture complemented by flavors steeped in tradition, to the no-fuss sardines garnish with a smoky char, every bite transports you to Portugal's sun-kissed shores. However, it does come with a small disclaimer; some guests, like Fuad Tabba, noted that the gizzards might be a bit tougher than expected. But don't let this discourage you—it's all part of the adventure of exploring new tastes!

Another highlight is the generous portion sizes, a fact appreciated by customers such as Carmen Gowie, who enjoyed a satisfying meal with her family. The pork dish is particularly noteworthy, tender and steeped in flavor, as Maria Camara eloquently pointed out. Each plate not only nourishes but also invites guests to share their experiences, making it a communal affair steeped in the spirit of Portuguese dining.

Beyond the food, Grelha D'Ouro allows you to soak up a truly welcoming atmosphere where the owners treat patrons like family. It's a place where returning customers, like M. Santos, are remembered with warmth and genuine smiles—qualities that deeply resonate in this digital age. The presence of snooker tables in the basement adds another layer, providing a fun post-dinner activity for those who wish to linger a bit longer.

Overall, Grelha D'Ouro is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey through Portugal that leaves diners feeling satisfied and connected. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Portuguese cuisine or a newcomer eager to dive into the flavors, this restaurant deserves a spot on your must-visit list. And remember, as Paulo Semedo passionately asserts, it's highly commendable for excellent food at fair prices, solidifying its reputation as a delightful dining destination in London.

The food was amazing Service fantastic Traditional Portuguese cuisine is worth going there with family and friends. The waitress remembers me from 7 years ago when I visited her in another restaurant. The lady with lovely smile and with light eye colours.

Really nice casual Portuguese restaurant. Relaxed and laid back, and very friendly service. Had the gizzard as an appetiser, flavourful but a bit overcooked, so it was on the tougher side. The bacalao with smashed potatoes was nicely done, but most of the potatoes didn't really get much colour. The sardines were nicely grilled. Would recommend it for a relaxed dinner. Avoid the house red though.

Dining as a family of six, we found this place to be perfect for those who love homemade food, Portuguese culture, and local dining. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, especially since we were there with our puppy. Everyone ordered something different, but the best part was the generous portions, which allowed us to enjoy leftovers the next day too! Muito Obrigado, amiga! Snooker tables in the basement for anyone who likes a game after a great meal!

I’ve been here a couple of times, and each time is always excellent. Food is tasty, individual portions are considerable, beverages are Portuguese (so good ones ), atmosphere is traditional but friendly and respectful.
